| Physical Description | Delix has ocean blue eyes and is taller then most of those in his species. He is six food five and has chocolate brown hair. He has the typical Denobulan ridges and high hair line but his hair is curly and he insists on keeping it short. Delix has a chin cleft and dimples on his cheeks when he smiles. Unlike other Denoboluans his smile does not extend due to a medical condition he was born with. Delix has no tattoos although he is thinking of getting one...if he can decide on what he wants. |

| General Overview | Delix is emotionally strong on the outside. He's learned to keep that streangth as a permanent mask that guard the gentle heart that's underneath. He's dependable and always speaks his mind. He is direct and doesn't seem to care what people think. It was a promise he made to himself in another life that if he was ever free to be himself he would hold nothing back. He's deeply passionate about his work and has the soul of an artist. He draws, writes, takes photos and it is through those mediums that one gets the depth of his soul. Yes, he is crass sometimes, blunt to the point of hurting others feelings but he is also deeply honest and loyal and a pillar of strength when times are rough. He loves to laugh as well. As serious and brutal as he can be in his manners he is also a jokester and has a naughty sense of humour that is infectious. |

| Personal History | 2222 – Born on Denobula In the dark nights during the raging storm a child is born. Delix, the ninth son of the biological pair is welcomed into the world at the Denobulan hospital. He wails into the night as if announcing his presence. The doctors are stunned. He is a large baby, larger then any that have been born. The scans tell them that he will be tall, he will grow strong but he is unusual. His senses are honed, particularly his sense of smell and his pheromone detection glands. There is however a condition that he is born with, one where the usual elasticity of the Denobulan face is absent. He will never smile too wide, or puff up his face like other Denobulans. His facial muscles are average not that different of a humans. His spinal ridges are less pronounced but he is healthy otherwise. The doctors are satisfied, the family is not. To them it is a curse. He is somewhat isolated. Ignored at family gatherings and as he grows he learns that he will never be enough. He keeps to himself, reads anything and everything that he can get his hands on, particularly engineering manuals on how things work. He rescues broken tech from the garbage and takes it apart and builds it back up and eventually what was broken and trash begins to work and is given a new life. In school his marks are top rate. He's been skipped a couple of grades his intelligence already beyond his years. He is praised by his teachers. Praise that he lives for because he does not get it from his family. The children in the family are in fact cruel. Eventually Delix, named so by his family after a root word that means broken, chooses himself. In 22039 during the Summer the family makes a decision. He is banished from the clan and he packs what little he has and chooses himself, chooses to leave the planet and try to make his home on Earth. He leaves at the tail end of 16 at the end of what on Earth would be his high school years. When he arrives on Earth two weeks later having entered his 17th year, celebrated on a shuttle alone, as with his other birthdays. For a Denobulan, the greatest curse is loneliness and he's had a life time thus far. He learns to cope but he is still broken just a little. 2240 – 2246 – Unknown When he arrives he has nowhere to go. Soon he finds his footing. He finds work by accident when he helps a shuttle mechanic fix the impossible. He works there until his twentieth birthday when he meets Annidor an Orion who owns a restaurant/club. Standing over six feet he is asked to help work as security for the club. He accepts and on the side works to fix shuttles and transport modules. When something in the club breaks he is the first to fix it. Annidor tricks Delix into a life time contract put together by a Ferengi associate known to the Orions. Delix is content, not happy, just content. 2246 – Special Entrance granted to Starfleet Academy & 2247 – 2250 Fast Track to year 3 post Exams post grad specialization in Engineering In his fourth year with the Orions he met Sabastian Walker, a Starfleet Academy cadet then 20 years old just four years younger then Delix. That meeting changed his life. In sort order he fell in love, Sabastian fought a band of Orions and nearly lost his life to get Delix's contract voided and he'd gotten Delix in front of an Engineering Admiral who was impressed with Delix's grasp of Engineering. He started the Academy under special orders and was skipped a few grades becoming a TA during the second physical year of the Academy for him. During his time at the Academy he met the bane of his existence. Zai who engineered a lie to get Sabastian and the group of friends Delix had made against him. After a rather heart shattering confrontation with Sabastian Delix applied to the USS Fox and left the Academy. 2250-2252 – USS Fox – Ensign Once he left Earth Delix settled into his new home on the USS Fox. He soon became the favourite of his Chief as there seemed to be nothing he couldn't fix or figure out. Six months after his tenture he was offered a promotion which he refused. He was content in his position and enjoyed his new life. He'd seemed to have found the perfect balance of socilizing and alone time. He'd also returned to his love of sketching. Three months after that Sabastian Walker tried to get in touch with him to apologize for their argument but he refused all calls. He was still nursing his broken heart. 2253 – 2257 – USS Hephestus Ensign and near the end promoted to Lt. JG He spent two amazing years on the Fox and then when his Chief moved to the Hephestus he applied for a transfer and finally accepted a promotion to Lt. JG. Once again he settled in to his role and became the shuttle master on the ship where he cared for all the shuttles their upgrades and fixes. He also allowed himself to make some friends while on the Hephestus and slowly he began to heal his heart. It was on the Hephestus that he made a few decisions on his life and with the help of then Counselor T'Prel he began to come out of his shell and to let go of some past hurts. 2257-2260 – USS Tempest Promotion to Lt. In 2257 he wonce again accepted a promotion and a post as Second in Command in Engineering on the USS Tempest a Constituation Class ship. His skills and knowledge stunned Chief Sanders and he was promoted in 2258 to Assistant Chief when the current one retired. He threw himself in the role and learned all he could from his Chief. In 2260 - He took a year sabatical on Vulcan and then in 2261 made a decision to go after the one thing he'd wanted since he was 24 years old. Chief Walker. He placed a call to an old friend Counselor T'prel and soon received a transfer to the USS Arcadia with the mission of freeing Walker from his marriage to Zai and making him his chosen mate. 2261 - USS Arcadia – Assistant Chief Engineer. Promotion to LT CMDR Refused. |
